Novomax AMMO is a biotechnological treatment formulated with a blend of seven Bacillus strains and facultative microbial cultures, scientifically selected to efficiently remove ammonia in wastewater treatment operations.
In addition to controlling ammonia, it contributes to the reduction of BOD, COD, and sludge, optimizing effluent quality. Through competitive exclusion, it converts organic nitrogen into simpler compounds such as amino acids and peptides, while its hyperammonium-accumulating bacteria consume ammonia and transform nitrates into elemental nitrogen (N₂), thereby reducing the nitrogen load in the discharge.
Its formulation also improves phosphorus uptake and maintains its effectiveness over a wide pH and temperature range, operating under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
